Editorial policy
How we prepare content, which sources we use, and what we do not do.
How content is prepared
- Some content is drafted with AI assistance from public information, the route data we compile and the fares found on Aviasales.
- We do not name individual authors and never present invented personas as writers. Content is published as SiamFlights.
- We do not use blanket "fact-checked" badges. Where facts on a page have been checked, the page shows the date of that check.
Sources
- Rules that change — visas, entry documents, baggage, compensation — should cite a specific official document (a government agency, an embassy, an airline notice), not just a regulator's home page.
- When a condition cannot be confirmed, we do not give categorical advice; we point you to the official source to check.
- Visa information always says which passport it applies to. We do not assume every reader holds a Thai passport.
- Fares come from the Aviasales search cache — see how we show fares.
What the dates mean
- Published: when the page first went live.
- Content updated: when the page text actually changed. Rebuilding the site does not change it.
- Facts checked: shown only where a check is recorded.
- Found (next to a fare): when that fare was found — not a promise it is still available.
Thai pages show dates in the Buddhist Era (B.E. = A.D. + 543).
English pages
An English page is open to search engines only when its translation is complete. Until then, the English address shows the Thai original with a note and is kept out of search indexes.
Independence from partners
- We do not accept payment to rank or recommend airlines or routes.
- We do not create reviews, ratings or testimonials.
- Partner links are labelled next to the link — see the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Email hello@siamflights.com with the page link and what is wrong, ideally with an official source. When an error is confirmed we correct it in every affected language, and the page's "content updated" date changes.
