How we show fares
Fares on this site are what Aviasales users found recently — not live prices. This page explains where they come from, how long they count, and their limits.
Where fares come from
We use the Travelpayouts Data API: a cache of searches made by Aviasales users, refreshed weekly. For each route we keep the lowest fare found, its currency, whether it was one way or round trip, the departure date, airline, number of stops and when it was found.
- Fares are for 1 adult in economy. Checked baggage and payment fees may be extra.
- A fare that was found is not a guaranteed seat at that price, so we always say "found" and show the date.
- Fares are shown in Thai baht (THB), as cached. When you open a search on Aviasales it may show prices in the currency of your location or account.
When a fare expires
- A fare counts as current until the provider's expiry, or 7 days after we retrieved it when the provider gives none.
- After that it is labelled as a dated historical observation, and it is no longer shown at all once it is more than 30 days old.
- Fares whose departure date has passed are never shown.
- Rebuilding the site never turns an old fare into a new one.
- If a refresh fails we say the data is temporarily unavailable, rather than implying there are no fares.
Monthly and weekly tables
The monthly table shows the lowest one-way fare found for each departure month. An empty month means nothing was found — not that it is cheaper or dearer. The weekly table lists the lowest fare we recorded each week. We never fill gaps with estimates, and we do not declare a "best time to buy" from a handful of points.
Fare rankings
"Fares by departure city" and "Fares by destination" rank only fares that are still current. Each row shows the date found, the departure date and the trip type. Routes without a current observation are not ranked.
Airlines and routes
Airlines listed on a route come from the route data we compile. Schedules change — confirm the operating airline when you book. We do not label an airline "fastest" or "best value" without comparable data.
Search and dates
The search form sends Gregorian dates (YYYY-MM-DD) to Aviasales, with the passengers and cabin you chose. Thai pages display dates in the Buddhist Era. Aviasales cannot take some filters from a link, such as a specific airline.
Travel documents
We show a visa status only when a specific official source and the date it was checked are recorded, and we always say which passport it applies to. Otherwise we point you to the destination's official source.
