Common questions

Which flights does EU261 cover?

Flights departing an airport in the EU, Iceland, Norway or Switzerland on any airline, and flights into that area on an EU-registered airline. A Bangkok–Europe flight operated by a European airline is covered; the same flight operated by a non-European airline is not (its return leg from Europe is covered on any airline).

My domestic flight in Thailand was delayed. Can I claim?

Domestic flights in Thailand fall under the Ministry of Transport passenger-rights notification, not EU261. This tool does not estimate that case — check the conditions with the airline or the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

Do I need a claims company?

No. You can claim directly with the airline at no cost. Services such as AirHelp handle the claim for a fee if it succeeds; we may earn a commission if you use them through our link.
