BKK Suvarnabhumi airport: SAT-1 and connections

BKK is Suvarnabhumi; DMK is Don Mueang. Read the airport code on every flight before arranging transport or choosing a connection. Reaching SAT-1 within BKK and moving to DMK are different tasks. Do not substitute “Bangkok” for airport codes in your plan.

S gates and SAT-1

AOT’s SAT-1 departure procedure says to check in, clear security and passport control, then follow S101–S128 signs to the APM. At SAT-1, go to floor 3 and your assigned gate.

Check the current gate on displays and your boarding pass rather than selecting it from an airline name. If it changes, follow the new route promptly and ask staff when uncertain. A preferred shop or lounge should come after reaching the correct gate on time.

AOT’s transport guide lists the free DMK shuttle for connecting passengers from 05:00 to 24:00, every 30 minutes. It requires an onward ticket or proof of travel and passport or national ID. It is not free general-public transport. Recheck notices and the operating pickup point before use.

A 30-minute frequency is not a 30-minute journey. For an onward flight from Don Mueang, include leaving the aircraft, bags, applicable entry formalities, road transport and new check-in as required by your tickets. No single total guarantees every connection.

Bags and lost property

Ask the airline where bags are tagged and whether collection is required, especially on separate tickets. Do not infer pieces or weight from the airport name. Check power-bank rules separately from cabin-bag weight.

No. SAT-1 is within Suvarnabhumi BKK. DMK is Don Mueang airport and requires an airport transfer.

No. AOT restricts it to connecting passengers with onward-flight proof and the required identity document.
